What to Expect from Therapy
Starting therapy is a big step, and it’s completely normal to have questions about the process. At Flourish Beyond Therapy, my goal is to create a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can openly explore your thoughts and emotions.
Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, couples therapy, or family therapy, our time together will be guided by your needs and goals. If you’re unsure where to begin, that’s okay—I’ll help navigate the conversation to ensure each session is meaningful and productive.
Therapy should fit into your life, not disrupt it. That’s why all sessions are conducted online, allowing you to schedule therapy at a time that works best for you, all from the comfort of home.
I also offer a FREE 20-minute consultation, so you can ask any questions about my approach or the therapy process. This initial conversation helps us determine if we’re the right fit moving forward.
What to Expect in Your First Session
In your first session, we’ll start by exploring your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to gain from our time together. It’s a space where we can discuss your challenges and the goals you’d like to focus on. We’ll take it slow, and I’ll help guide the conversation so it feels comfortable and productive. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer understanding of how we can move forward, with a plan that aligns with your needs.
How Therapy Can Help
Therapy offers a safe space to understand yourself better, work through past or current challenges, and develop new coping skills. Whether you're navigating personal struggles, relationship issues, or life changes, I’ll be with you every step of the way. Together, we’ll uncover insights that can lead to growth, healing, and deeper self-compassion. The process is about making small, meaningful changes that will ultimately help you feel more connected, empowered, and at peace.
How Long Will Therapy Take?
The duration of therapy depends on your personal goals and what you’re working through. Some people find that just a few sessions can make a big difference, while others choose to continue therapy over a longer period to address deeper or ongoing concerns. We’ll work together to adjust the pace and frequency of sessions based on what feels most helpful for you, always focusing on your comfort and progress. You’re in control, and we can reassess as needed.
Session Format & Rates
All therapy sessions are virtual, available to residents across Washington State:
Individual Therapy (50 minutes) – $125 per session
Couples Therapy (50 minutes) – $140 per session
While weekly sessions are often recommended for consistency, I do not require clients to meet on a set schedule. We can adjust session frequency based on your needs.
Insurance & Payment Options
I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients have out-of-network benefits for mental health services. If you’d like to explore reimbursement, I encourage you to ask your insurance provider:
Does my plan cover out-of-network mental health services?
What is my annual deductible for mental health benefits?
What percentage of each session does my plan reimburse?
Is there a limit on the number of covered sessions per year?
How do I submit Superbills for reimbursement?
I automatically provide monthly Superbills via email for those seeking reimbursement.
Accepted Payment Methods:
All payments are processed securely through SimplePractice (via Stripe). I accept:
All major credit/debit cards
Most HSA and FSA cards
