FAQ
It’s normal to have questions about therapy and the therapeutic process. Before you decide to embark on your therapy journey, read below.
Why Flourish Beyond Therapy?
One of my top priorities is to create a safe and confidential space for you to freely process and feel.
As your therapist, it is my mission to make the most out of our time together. You are welcome to bring anything that has been present on your mind and on your heart to our sessions, but if you show up with little to nothing to talk about, that’s okay, too! I will help guide our conversation based on the original goals you have set for your time in therapy.
Flourish Beyond Therapy helps mend relationships so that they can feel safe, be enjoyed, and no longer be a cause of stress.
Flourish Beyond Therapy is a flexible way to do counseling because it is entirely online. You are able to fit your sessions into a schedule that works for you without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
I offer prospective clients a FREE 20 minute consultation so you can ask any questions you might have about my specific approach to therapy or therapy in general. This time allows us both to assess if we would be a good fit moving forward.
What is your session format and rates?
All sessions are virtual so we can meet from the comfort of your home! I currently can only meet with individuals, couples, and families who are residing in Washington state.
Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise specified.
It is common to see the most consistent results in therapy when you are meeting with your therapist weekly, but I do not require clients to meet with me on a weekly basis. It is possible, however, that I will recommend a client increase or decrease their frequency on a case-by-case basis
Individual 50 minute sessions are $125 and couples 50 minute sessions are $140.
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider therefore I do not accept insurance at this time. However, some individuals have out-of-network benefits that they are not aware of when it comes to mental health services. I recommend that all clients call the number on the back of their insurance card and ask the following questions:
Does my plan include “out-of-network” coverage for mental health services?
What is my annual deductible for mental health benefits?
What percentage does my plan cover?
Is there a limit on the number of sessions my plan will cover per year?
How do I submit my Superbills?
I automatically provide monthly SuperBills to clients via email.
I charge clients through the SimplePractice client portal using Stripe. Any credit/debit card will be accepted as well as most HSA and FSA cards.
